Regarding sexism and Miley Cyrus (and Lady Gaga):
ReplyDeleteAnother sexist element are the comments about the skimpy clothes both Miley and Gaga were wearing. Somehow it's headline making and heavily condemned when the artist is female, but the scantily clad backup dancers (including the women wearing unitards during Justin Timberlake's performance) aren't mentioned. Male artists can just get away with more, whereas when women do it their character is assaulted.
